The touch pad on my oven needs repair and the part is no longer available. What can i do to fix it ?
The timer button and the bake button do not work anymore. I just need some advice on how to fix it, or what could be wrong. Occasionally the button will work, but i find myself having to punch the display to get it to work , but now it stopped working completely. Anything you can tell me to help would be great.

How hard is it to replace the front glass in an oven?
I am trying to help a non-handy friend of mine with her house. She broke the inside glass on her oven door by wiping it with a cold wet cloth when it was hot. How hard is it to replace? I know I can get the external screws out but am wondering what other supplies I might need. And if anyone knows a good source for the glass I would like to know where I can order that as well. Thanks ahead of time.

I had a similar problem with my oven. On mine there were a few screws on the top and bottom of the door. Once these were removed the exterior of the door came off revealing the glass. From there is was just setting the new glass in place. I was able to get the glass at a appliance parts store. Look in the yellow pages or call ar appliance repair place and they should at least be able to point you in the right direction.

Everything works except the oven.It is 2-1/2″ yrs old and been working great.

=== even if you have to pay a tech from Sears it would be worth it to have an oven … You probably need a new element inside the oven … But if you go and buy and install that part it might be another part that is bad … The Sears repairman has all that on his truck and that way you only pay for what is needed …. [[[and your wife wife gets happy with the oven fixed]]] …. Sometimes you just need the serviceman to actually save money …………
